The arrivals at Grand Central, one way to get into the city. The walk to 2nd Avenue through the maze of NYPD barricades became a peace march of its own. The pens of 2nd Ave were an offense to democracy and humanity but never dampened the spirits. Radios blaring WBAI were the distant pens' favorite gathering spots. Despite the NYPD and the Mayor's behavior, the crowds were the best.
